يشغل ملفات الصوت بجميع انواعها ويشغل ملفات الفيديو بجميع انواعها فهو يشغل ملفات DVDs ويشغل ملفات VCDs ويشغل ملفات MPEG ويشغل ايضاً ملفات فيديو مضغوطة مثل DivX files VLC ويقوم بتشغيلها جميعها وبجودة عالية بل بجوده غير موجوده في غيره من البرامج كما تستطيع ان تتحكم في الترجمة مع الفلم ودمجها مع الفلم مباشرة واثناء مشاهدة الافلام تستطيع ان تتحكم في جميع الخيارات في الفلم وتشغيل اي صيغة من الصيغ التالية (MPEG-4, MPEG-2, MPEG-1, DivX, mp3, ogg, ...) وغيرها الكثير
البرنامج له مميزات كبيرة وكثيرة جداً جداً حتى ملفات ريل بلاير يشغلها بجوده افضل من الريل بلاير نفسه وهو متوافق مع كافة اصدارات ويندوز
